Located West of Essex County, starting on the North edge of New Jersey, Passaic County, has dozens of lakes and hills. It features rural countryside with mountains to the northwest in the West Milford section and densely populated cities in the southeast corner, like Paterson.
Parks and Recreation
The Paterson Great Falls on the Passaic River are probably the biggest natural tourist attraction in Passaic County. The falls are 77 feet high located in the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park in Paterson, New Jersey.
High Mountain Park Reserve is one of the largest tracts of conserved land in northern New Jersey.
Higher Education
Passaic County Community College has campuses in Wayne, Paterson, and Wanaque.
William Paterson University is located in Wayne, NJ. This is a public state university. They offer on-campus housing, as well as plenty of parking for commuting students.
